Abstract
The historical cities such as Important Preservation Districts of Traditional Buildings are getting popular than ever before. However, the city planning roads in historical cities are not focused yet. On the other hand, facing at the changes of social-economical structure, the city planning roads network has been positively reviewed in many cities. This study aims to make it clear how to deal with the city planning roads in the Important Preservation Districts of Traditional Buildings. We showed the common patterns of the city planning network in such area and sent the questionnaires to the municipalities which have the city planning roads in such important preservation districts, and analyze the change and disuse of city planning roads.
