Abstract
The purpose of this study is to clarify the contemporary issue with the conservation of historic building and the landscape conservation in Italy, through the controversy on the project of restoration and riuse for the historic building, the Data at the Historic Center of Urbino. Nevertheless the project had been accepted by the local and central government, as a result of the controversy the project is urged to change the part of the design. There are the following three points of issue that the process of controversy indicates the uthenticity of the restoration of the historic building, the context of historic landscape, and the creation and conservation of urban landscape.
