Abstract
This study aims to clarify relations between Municipal master plan(MMP) and Location normalization plan(LNP) by analyzing changes of core areas on Future urban structure. Although these plans are based on different Acts, LNP that includes administrative action and financial support is important plan practically on urban planning. As a result, we revealed that LNPs without revision of MMP are about 70% of all, and that many administrative officers recognized treatment of core areas on urban structure of MMP as real problem at LNP formulation. Moreover, in changes of core areas on urban structure, we clarified that 3 layers of core areas increased double, that rank changes and new designations of core areas were conducted by evaluation of population, public transportation and urban functions, and that those changes correspond approximately with designation of urban functions inducing area on LNP.
