Abstract
The purpose of this study investigates an ideal method of promenade space contributing to the formation of comfortable urban environment. Then, we examined how prpmenade behaviors reflect to improved promenade space by elucidating a happened mechanism in promenade behaviors and sightseeing places. As a result, it is obvious that both Kyoto citizens and sightseers promenade temples, Shinto shrines, parks, rivers and ponds. And we proposed that it is necessary to improve amenity by the silence in promenade space.
