Abstract
On-street parking caused by the activities of commercial facilities located along trunk roads were discussed in this paper. First, based on the data of Fukui City, it was revealed that the large part of commercial facilities are located along trunk roads. The factors concerning to the generation of on-street parking were enum erated and classified into six groups. Then, interview survey was conducted and the relationships among these factor groups were clarified by the technique of the Interpretive Structural Modeling. Also, the quantitative measurements of the influence magnitude were clarified on two factors: weather and the effects of existing parking.
