Abstract
This paper aims to find a possibility of travel mode change from driving alone into public transit or ride-sharing for commuters, on condition that Transportation Demand Management measures are provided for a local city of Nagaoka. We apply to the Conjoint Analysis using the SP data to estimate individual utility which shows the possibility of travel mode change. Then we estimate the OD table of car trips by simulating mode change for each individual commuter under the condition that TDM measures are provided for them. Finally, the OD tables are assigned on the highway network of the Nagaoaka metropolitan area. The results show, for example, that during 7-8 o'clock 17% of commuters change their mode from a single car into ride-sharing, and whole car trips reduce by 5% relieving traffic congestion of the bridges.
