A Study on the Travel Time Reliability of Emergency Vehicles for Serious Patients

The Case of Kanazawa City

Abstract

Recently, the demand of the emergency transport for patients, especially serious patients, has increased rapidly. The service level of the emergency transport for serious and emergent patients is seemed to be uneven among the districts due to lack of medicalcenters for them.
We analyze the present conditions of the emergency transport of serious patients, and propose the method of evaluating the travel time reliability of emergency vehicles. Then, we apply it to Kanazawa City and examine its emergency transport.
