Abstract
This study aimed to manifest the property of space of renovated civil engineering facility, taking old Inabachi Watertower in Nagoya as case study. We traced its history to be built and renovated from watertower to library and then exercise room for drama, and surveyed present evaluation of landscape and space by questionnaire. Visitors from within 3km tend to reflect the meaning as regional landmark and its history relatively with large percentage. On the other hand, visitors from out of 20km are inclined to recognize present use and superficial image such as form or color of the architecture.
