Abstract
In Switzerland, trains run between major stations in certain time and are operated based on pattern diagram after introducing Rail 2000 Policy. But the general conditions of such convenient system are not clear. It is necessary for installing such policy into Japan.
In this study, we made general conditions for building a pulse timetable system on a public transportation network. Next, we tried to build a pulse timetable system on JR rapid service network in Osakaarea, and measured ROLTime (=Real Operation Loss Time) to confirm the conditions are proper. ROLTime is an indicator of loss time of transfer.
