Abstract
The joint bolt method seem to be most common for jointing shield segments. However this method has two major defects;the bolt fixing and screwing operation requires boxing-out that causes structural weakness. The operation is a bottle-neck for automation of segment erection.
For eliminating such problems, we have studied and developed a creative “Cotter and Quick-joint Method” that can achieve an excellent segment jointing effect.
We carried out this Cotter and Quick-joint Method for constructing power supply tunnel. This paper gives the mechanism and the result of this method.
