Abstract
Experiments were conducted to evaluate effect of jet stream pressure, amount of water sprayed and a kind of detergent sprayed prior to washing.
1. High pressure 70∼150 kg/cm2 of jet stream was more effective than coustomary pressure 25 kg/cm2 on reduction of contaminating bacteria. In some case, high pressure 150 kg/cm2 of jet stream may injure equipments for chicken management.
2. A large amount of spraying water were not effective on reduction of bacteria. Spraying detergent solution, however, was effective.3. It is desirable to spray 6 litres of water per m2 with 70 to 150 kg/cm2 of pressure for washing of a chicken house.
