External Cavity Diode Lasers (ECDLs) are considered highly useful for atomic spectroscopy due to their frequency tunability, leading to ease of spectral line selection when manipulating atoms. However, they traditionally operate at relatively low lasing powers in comparison to other laser systems. This presentation seeks to present a novel cavity design producing relatively high power lasing, while maintaining the versatile tunability required for atomic spectroscopy, and other applications.
