Neutron Diffraction Study on Electric Field Effects of a Nematic Liquid Crystal

The time dependence of the structural change in nematic para-azoxyanisole (PAA) due to the electric instabilities was measured with the neutron time-of-flight (TOF) technique. The molecular motion was understood with correlations of the director fluctuations.
