Envelope Solition in a New Nonlinear Transmission Line

抄録

A modulable nonlinear LC transmission line is newly introduced. The nonlinear capacitor whose capacitance depends on the square root of the applied voltage is used. The wave equation for this transmission line is a modified Nonlinear Schrödinger equation, iψ_t−βψ_xx−α|ψ|^1⁄2ψ=0. The observation of the envelope soliton in this transmission line is carried out. Good agreements between experiments and theory are obtained.
