Double Diffusive Convection in a Rotating Fluid

Double diffusive convection is investigated in a rotating fluid layer with nearly impermeable boundaries. The new results on the instability of the steady motion and the dependence of the various physical quantities (such as the horizontal cells’ size and the heat and solute fluxes) on the Rayleigh number R and the rotation parameter τ are discussed.
