Magnetovolume Effects in Gd_xY_1−xCo₂

抄録

Thermal expansion and forced volume magnetostriction were measured for ferrimagnetic intermetallic Gd_xY_1−xCo₂ compounds. The results of both measments are interpreted on the basis of an induced moment picture of Co moments over the whole concentration range. The metamagnetic behavior of the Co moment is also discussed in connection with the present results.
