Analytic Relations for Gamma Band B(E2) Values

Analytic expressions have been developed for the electric quadrupole transition rates within the SU(3) limit of Interacting Boson Approximation for the intra gamma band transitions in even-even nuclei. The calculated values in ^166,168Er agree with the experimental as well as the theoretical one’s, obtained using the complicated technique of numerical analysis.
