139La-NQR Study of Magnetic Phase Diagram of La2−xBaxCuO4

We observed the temperature and the x-dependence of the 139La-NQR spectra in magnetically ordered La2−xBaxCuO4. The internal field at La nuclei increases discontinuously at Tc*, where the nuclear relaxation rate is enhanced and shows its peak. This indicates that a successive magnetic transition occurs at Tc* for x<0.02. An asymmetry parameter of the electric quadrupole interaction changes anomalously at the magnetic transition. The magnetic phase diagram of the La-system is discussed.
