Abstract

In order to develop the high efficiency and low loss in transformer, it is essential to reduce iron loss on grain-oriented electrical steel sheet which is one of transformer loss. On the other hand, it is known that the iron loss increases due to the rotating magnetic flux generated at the T-junction of the transformer core, and it is necessary to deal with this problem. A vector magnetic characteristic control technology has been developed that can reduce iron loss under rotating magnetic flux in existing grain-oriented electrical steel sheets. In this paper, we apply the control technology to the existing low iron loss grain oriented electrical steel sheet with a thickness of 0.23 mm, and report the results of verifying the iron loss reduction effect. In addition, the factor of iron loss change was clarified using the two-frequency separation method. Based on the knowledge obtained, we will propose the application of control technology to transformer cores.
