The purpose of this paper is to present a study on capsule endoscopy (CE) for the early detection of gastrointestinal cancers. Although CE is considered minimally invasive, its movement is governed by peristalsis and gravity, making active control difficult. To address this issue, a method for the external guidance of CE using a cylindrical magneti guiding magnet is proposed. In this study, the effects of geometric variations of the cylindrical magnet on the magnetic field distribution are analyzed, with emphasis on weight reduction and operational efficiency. The results demonstrate that the cylindrical magnet provides a more uniform magnetic field and enables weight reduction without sacrificing magnetic force.
