Abstract
Biodiesel was applied to 4L TCI diesel engine equipped with both a diesel particulate filter(DPF) and a urea-SCR system. The exhaust emission characteristics using the biodiesel were compared with those using conventional diesel fuel. Engine-out NOx emission were slightly increased by using biodiesel as referred to the previous studies. In addition, NOx reduction performance of urea-SCR system was also deteriorated by using biodiesel, although urea injection control system was improved for the slight increase in NOx emission mentioned above.
