Abstract

In order to measure the lock-up clutch contact pressure, multi-layer thin-film sensor was developed and measured the dynamic pressure distribution between facing part of lock-up clutch and the surface of torque convertor cover according to the differential pressure. As a result of comparing the measured value of a pressure sheet and a thin-film pressure sensor with a conventional sensing part, newly developed sensor formed on the cover surface was able to measure the pressure distribution correctly without measurement error by the cover deformation. Therefore dynamic continual contact pressure change from facing outside to inner side became measurable.
