Driving Method of Power Transmission Coil Array for Dynamic Wireless Charging

Abstract

Wireless dynamic charging requires heavy-duty and light-duty vehicles to share transmission coils embedded in the road. In this research, a method of arranging multiple transmission coils in an array and exciting each coil in phase to reduce the magnetic flux interference between adjacent coils has been proposed. This method enables the supply of optimum power irrespective of the vehicle size.
