Abstract

In taking part in multi-party interaction, desires or speculations such as "I want to speak instead of you now." or "Who wants to speak now?" can occur to each participant's mind. When all the participants' utterance desires are satisfied, the whole interaction becomes more productive and meaningful. Utterance desire is signified through non-verbal communication channels peculiar to each participant. We analyzed how utterance desires were signified in order to make the relationships among the participants clear.
