Abstract
We studied on harvesting of standing grain in order to develop a new harvesting system for power saving and low cost in grain crops.
In this research, performance and charateristics of stripping header, which was one harvesting system of standing grain, were investigated in paddy.
A stripping header was 2.5m wide and composed of adjustable hood, stripping rotor with comb moves through the crop, stripping the grain from the plants and leaving the straw in the field. Stripped grain and chaff are moved back ward by conveyer and platform auger. At the results of the tests, relationship between rotor speed/working speed ratio or lodged crop harvesting and performance, and energy saving were clearfied.
