Many problems were noticed for valve replacement associated with esophageal varices. We evaluated hemodynamic effects of pulsatile ECC on portal hypertensive dogs. Hepatic flow was increased during partial bypass with PAD. This result was considered to be due to the improvement of cardiac function.
