Abstract
The previous study from our laboratory has shown that the depression of RES is a major cause of sepsis, septic ARF and MOF. Since we considered that DHP would enhance the RES and would prevent the RES depression, we investigated that possible usefulness of DHP as an artificial RES for the treatment of sepsis, septic ARF and MOF. To investigate the usefulness of DHP as the artificial RES we performed DHP on septic rat model which was produced by us and was very close to the clinical condition among septic patients. The result of survival study was as follows. DHP group 53.5%, glass DHP group 37.5%, priming solution IV group 50.0% and control group 45.8%, respectively.
