Abstract
Almost all glucose control systems developed by several groups have adopted similar feedback control algorithms for delivery of insulin and glucose, which are based on the glucose concentration and its derivative component. However, parameters in controllers should be empirically specified. The main purpose of this paper is to develop an adaptive glucose control system via selftuning regulator, in which the blood glucose can be decreased from an initial high level in accordance with the desired profile specified by a doctor and can be maintained within narrow range even in cases of parametric variations in diabetic subjects and disturbances due to food intake.
