In vitro and in vivo characteristics of hydrogen peroxide-type and oxygen-type glucose sensor

Abstract

To evaluate the superiority of hydrogen peroxide(H₂O₂)-type electrode to oxygen(O₂)-type electrode as a glucose sensor, in vitro and in vivo experiments have been conducted. Minimal effect of change in O₂ tension on H₂O₂-type sensor's output indicated that our-developed needle-type glucose sensor using H₂O₂-type electrode could detect glucose concentration in sc tissue with least effect of change in O₂ tension
