Abstract
Now, we have been developing the various types of immunoadsorbent filters with immobilized HBs antibody, in order to protect the hepatitis B infection from blood and plasma transfusion. These filters are able to adsorb and remove not only HBs antigen but also Dane particle from contaminated blood and plasma samples. This report represented the study on immobilization procedure. The results were as follows: 1. The adsorbing ability was related to the filter which was immobilized under the more high concentration of HBs antibody. This filter made the decrease from 25 to 23 in HBs antigen titer of plasma. 2. The most effective type was the filter packed with fiber which was made from Gantrez. This filter made the decrease from 25 to 25-3 in HBs antigen titer of plasma.
