Abstract
Analysis of micro-aggregate formation by SFP method was performed during experimental ECC with three kind of oxygenators(OX). Silicone membrane OX could not prevent thrombogenicity in the early phase of ECC, however, pre-vented both quantitative and qualitative changes of platelet. Poly-propylene membrane OX was associated with temporal platelet loss and disturbed aggregation in spite of the least thrombogenicity. The bio-compatibility of silicone membrane OX to the platelet is much better than that of other OXs.
