Significance of serum proteins as indexes of adeguate dialysis

Abstract

The level of sixteen serum proteins in 128 patients on regular dialysis treatment were studied.
With several proteins abnormal serum concentration were observed, for example, values of serum hemopexin, retinol-binding protein, prealbumin were significantly raised.
We believe that it is necessary to study the level of these serum proteins as an index of adequate dialysis in order to treat carefully uremic patients by regular dialysis.
