GENETIC PARAMETER ESTIMATES AND COMBINING ABILITY ANALYSES IN MEAT-TYPE CHICKEN POPULATIONS

Abstract

In general, the estimation of genetic parameters were in good agreement with other reports in the literature. The test of combining abilities showed that general combining ability accounted for important differences among female lines while relatively high specific combining ability was indicated for mortality, body weight and feed conversion.
