Abstract
Proper development of infrastructures on the planet is greatly dependent on wise decision making of our human being. From this point of view, civil engineering education is significantly important not only for university students but also for non-professionals including school boys and girls who are responsible for our sustainable life in the next generation. In order to promote and realize proper understanding of civil engineering, the author devised various types of education materials through his many years of experience and carrier as a civil engineer. Focus in the classes has been always placed on feeling structures' functions through simplified portable experiments. The experimental kits were prepared from very familiar staffs in our everyday life. The students are able to experience mechanisms of civil engineering structures through performing the experiments by their own. The present report is to propose ways of education and illumination of civil engineering to society.
