Abstract
Currently, an increase in the demand for electricity causes a power shortage and global warming. The purpose of this study was to propose environmental education program using behavioral planning method for promoting energy saving behavior and to examine the effects of the program. For this purpose, we conducted this program targeting the fifth year students (n = 108) in Aratama elementary school in Matsuyama and there parents. As a result, it was shown that household energy saving behavior was promoted through this program and also the tendency was sustained after the program.
