Abstract
Digital image analysis can contribute to reducing the strenuous inspections that depend on human-power in various infrastructures. The present study focused on laser measurement system for cracks in tunnel lining, its characteristics were investigated for obtaining the fundamental data. In the proposed system, cracks are evaluated by using sequential image obtained from laser measurement system. Especially, dependence on the engineers in the sequential image analysis was investigated as compared with previous inspections. The sequential image analysis by the engineers was able to represent actual condition of concrete lining with higher accuracy; its accuracy became higher according to the experience of the engineers.
