Abstract
Tozaiyosui irrigation was constructed in 1924 as part of the Takahashi River renovation project. They consisted of Kasai intake weir, Yanaibara reservoir, Sakazu intake sluice, Sakadu distribution reservoir, south and north distribution sluices, and irrigation canals. Among them, the Sakadu intake sluice and distribution sluices were designated as important national cultural assets in 2016 and are widely known. However, it became clear that the design had been changed five times before becoming the current form. In this paper, we clarified the design process by analyzing drawings and archives stored in the Takahashigawa-Tozaiyosui Association.
