Abstract
Advanced user equilibrium traffic assignment model which consist of stochastic-deterministic hybrid route choice is constructed for traffic estimation on urban road network including dense expressway network. The model employs bi-level nested logit model to describe choice to pass/not to pass through expressway, and choice of interchange. Application results on Tokyo metropolitan area show the model brings more suitable and realistic estimation result than conventional traffic assignment models.
