Abstract
This research considered the role of member of city council in participatory type city planning from the activity actual condition and the pattern of thinking of the member of city council. Many member of a city council is engaged in a local activity or civic activities. Activity fields of the member of a city council are “city planning”, “welfare and health”, “environment”, “disaster prevention and crime prevention”, etc. How to participatory type community planning of the member of city council to be concerned is a role which connects administration and a citizen. Role of the member of a city council never remains as the representative of the area. The member of a city council is supporting the citizen community planning activities which considered disclosure of administration information, and activation of civic activities.
