In metropolitan expressways, there is a lot of variation in road alignment and driver's personal attributes, so it is important to analyze car-following behavior in different conditions around road. Various studies have been done in the past that discuss the variation in car-behavior under various conditions, however, no studies have been conducted that focus on the variation in car-following behavior in different time zones. In this study, we analyzed car-following behavior in different time zones by estimating the parameters of Newell's car-following model from Zen-Traffic Data that includes all vehicles' trajectory information in different time zones. As a conclusion, we found that the trend of car-following behavior varies in different time zones.
