Although the roadway space for bicycle traffic has been improved in recent years, there are many situations in which bicycles and pedestrians share the same space. In particular, when bicycles overtake pedestrians, there are many cases of confusion and a decreased sense of security. To improve this situation, appropriate traffic communication between pedestrians and bicycles is considered to be effective, but there is no established traffic communication method. In this study, we developed an experimental apparatus for two-player cooperative games with movies, and analyzed the social acceptability of several communication methods when they are established as social rules. The results showed that “passing without doing anything”, which is currently prevalent, tends to be unacceptable, while bells, alarms (bells), and talking to others were highly acceptable. However, since there were negative opinions depending on the situation and individual attributes, the optimal method for each situation could not be found in a unified manner.
