Abstract

Considering the healthy city development, the ministry of health, labour and welfare have determined the targets in Health Japan 21 for national health. There are “extension of average life expectancy and healthy life expectancy” and “reduction of deference between average life expectancy and healthy life expectancy. Health promotion policy with walking has been proposed to increase healthy life expectancy. The study aims at creating the advanced estimation model for average life expectancy and healthy life expectancy according to the background. The stepwise linear regression analysis as well as neural network model are applied to create the estimation model for healthy life expectancy. In particular, the database of healthy life expectancy for municipalities in Osaka prefecture is obtained to create the quantitative estimation model. Finally, the impact of health promotion policy concerning with previous two targets of average life expectancy and healthy life expectancy would be confirmed since the travel behaviour change of cities gives the extension of healthy life expectancy.
