Abstract

The purpose of this study is to clarify the factors that affect sustainability of “community transportation," that is operated to secure a mobility in the area. In this paper, we conducted a questionnaire survey of 127 mobility service operators and obtained 67 responses. In addition, we conducted a hearing survey on 10 of the responding operators. As a result, the following things became clear. 1) There are about 40% of mobility service operator that have difficulty in securing human resources and financial resources in five years. 2) In many cases, the mobility service operator does not know the internal circumstances of the transportation company. 3) In the case where an organization other than the municipality is operating autonomously, the operation is intended not only to secure mobility but also to increase the value of the entire region. 4) As a result of analyzing the factors that affect the possibility of securing human resources and financial resources, it was confirmed that many items related to "people" on the management side are related. Items related to "people" include, for example, whether or not management is being evaluated and improved, and whether or not it is positioned in local government plans.
