Abstract

In Japan, telework is becoming a normal aspect of people's lifestyles. In specific, Tokyo metropolitan area has a high rate of telework. An original questionnaire survey was conducted to clarify people's characteristics of outings focusing on attitudes toward telework. As a result, it was revealed that the frequency of exercise outside the home on telework days is higher for those who try to go out as much as possible. Furthermore, the result showed that people who are active in online entertainment are also active in entertainment outside the home and tend to make days not to go out intentionally. However, all the results were not independent of individual attributes such as gender and age, and further analysis is required.
