The present study measured the dissipated energy obtained from time series data of FWD deflection measurements (FWD dissipated energy) for asphalt pavements. Correlation between the FWD dissipated energy and the crack ratio measured by visual inspection of the pavement surface was investigated. As a result, it was confirmed the FWD dissipated energy increases as the damage state of asphalt pavements progresses and the crack ratio increases. In addition, viscoelastic fatigue parameters were measured by repeated compressive-tensile tests using cut cores collected at the FWD measurement points. The dissipated energy of the cut cores was compared with the FWD dissipated energy. Based on the results, this study indicated that fatigue damage state of asphalt pavements can be evaluated using the FWD dissipated energy.
