Abstract
The shape of the river mouth bar of the Song Ray River located 29 km ENE of Vung Tau and the shoreline morphology were studied using satellite images and site observation. It is found from the shoreline configuration that southwestward longshore sand transport prevails in this area, resulting in the elongation of river mouth bar of the left bank, and the formation of welded bars of rhythmic pattern, which obliquely develop in the southwest direction. The mechanism of these topographic features were investigated.
