Abstract
When doing a maritime works using a large working craft, even if it is low wave height, the marine works may be canceled due to the rolling and pitching. One cause of this problem is the existence of "swell". In this study, we analyzed directional spectrum and elucidated the characteristics of wave energy when marine works was canceled at low wave height. As a result, in the area of Tohoku, the appearance rate of wave energy in the frequency band of 0.05 to 0.09Hz (periodic band of 11 to 20s) was increasing trend. In addition, it is closely related to sea surface temperature in the Pacific Ocean.
