In the port planning, the function of the port area park is defined as the land use, but in recent years, the actual content and quality have changed, and the function has been largely changed, such as bustling place of the port area park.
This paper organizes the concept of port green space construction guidelines from half a century ago to the present, and summarizes the transition of port area park planning with Yokohama Port as a model. Then, we examined the increase factor of the number of users of port area park in Yokohama Port and inferred that the improvement of access and port area park network were one factor.
