This study evaluated the appropriateness and learning effectiveness of on-demand learning materials designed for nurses involved in the care of children with congenital heart disease. Notably, 16 videos on 5 themes and a mini-test were included in the study, and the estimated viewing period was 2 months. Of the 389 participants, 210 (54.0%) completed all 16 contents. Participants’ self-assessments improved across all dimensions compared to their pre-course self-assessments. The course materials with diagrams and illustrations, as well as the instructor’s explanations, were easy to understand, and the convenience of the mini-tests and short content structure, which facilitated learning at one’s own pace, met the needs of the target group. Future issues include regular updates of learning materials and continuation of the learning system while incorporating face-to-face training.
