Passing on the history of the accommodation of Japanese Americans during WWII DENSHO is a non-profit organization based in Seattle, Washington. Since its establishment in 1996, the organization has been conducting activities to pass on the historical fact that Japanese and Japanese Americans in the United States were separated from their homes, isolated and accommodated during the World War II, as digital archives to future generations. . The group's homepage (https://densho.org/) contains a total of over 1700 hours of interview videos in addition to numerous materials such as photos and newspaper articles that convey the state of Japanese people during and after the war. All contents can be viewed free of charge, and can be searched by "theme", "location", "era", etc. This thesis examines the history of DENSHO's establishment, the contents of digital archive materials, and the organization's activities besides the homepage.
